selfish

Selfish

Am i selfish for  wanting someone to love me the way i love them

To go and check up on me daily

To fall in love so early

Talk to day and night

To just take one look at me and get instant happiness

But they will never once feel the hurt of rejection and isolation

They will never understand what it's like to have your heart breaking because you know you’re not the one making them smile

Never once will you know what it's like to stay up all night thinking all the what ifs in the world

What if they stayed

What if i said this

What if i did this

What if i did nothing at all

What if i told them my pain

Would they run away

Or stay and try to take it make ok

What if i never felt this pain

Am i selfish for wishing one day they will feel my pain and hurt

Am i selfish for wanting you to live a day in my life

Am i selfish for wanting change

Am i selfish if i say i don’t feel okay

Am i selfish if i don’t want to smile all the time

Am i selfish for waiting for an apology

Am i selfish for wishing you never came

Am i selfish if i don’t want to stay

Because truth is i feel selfish

I feel selfish for not wanting to live another day
