Selfless

i do not so much enjoy the presence of pain,

nor do i delight in the screams at night,

but i suffer all because loves gain,

and i feel i have put up a good hard fight.

i will never know why i tolerate such diss,

i wouldnt allow it if it were my own,

but my forgiving heart has told me this,

my mother deserves to be happy and not alone.

she is my sunshine,

i will not be a cause to dim her light,

i continue on seeming all is fine,

when in reality i feel i lost my might.
