Selflessness

Location

Philadelphia, PA
United States

If I had it my way…
I would pass back over the infinite abyss of rocky, tortuous paths
Of Failed Attempts to Save Your Wretched, Reckless Soul
And frantically collect the pieces of me I've lost along the way,
In hopes that they could be stretched and smushed to fit
In the holes of your jaded, hopeless heart….

Never speaking a single breath of all I lost,
Only rejoicing in what you have gained.
