Senior Year

It has come at last,

Our last year here

After all these years .

We walk into the building,

Our heads held high,

Knowing that tears we’ll cry

In all good time.

Our last year here,

The curtain’s almost closed,

The show is almost over,

The end is rearing close.

Soon we’ll all take a bow,

And step back,

Our high school journey

Will come to an end.

Memories and friendships

Stay close to our hearts,

While our teacher’s lessons

Are with us from the start.

The caps fly off our heads,

Our journey has ended at last.

Ding!

I take a step back,

Out of my mind.

As my first day

At school begins.

I sigh,

The day has begun.

School year flying by.

And soon enough,

It will be time to say goodbye.
