Senior Year

Four years of nothing but trying.

Trying to be someone people want you to be.

There are days of laughing and days of crying.

Then one day you open your eyes and you can suddenly see.

The first year is scary, but you start to make friends.

Year two is better, but your classes are harder.

As a junior you get the messages that your prospective college sends.

Finally you make it, and you feel so much smarter.

Senior year is finally here,

And you are uncertain of your future.

The end of the line is near.

For these tears there is no cure.

You finally found your place,

And now it is time to leave.

Teachers and friends try to put a smile on your face.

But it is hard to believe...

Senior year is about to end,

As love is what your family and friends send.
