Senior Year

The class bells ring
The teacher sighs
The pencils stop moving
The mouths start opening
The bags are lifted
The chairs are shifted
The class stands
The rush begins
The doors open
The students chatter
The footsteps echo
The lockers are opened
The trash is thrown
The lockers shut again
The halls empty
The teacher sits
The teacher sighs
The teacher wonders
About goodbye
