Senior year

The year looked forward to

and also most dreaded.

The most strestful year

for high schoolers.

Your senior year.

You have waited your whole school life for this

finally the year you can be on top,

the one most important to you.

You are a high school senior,

you rule the school,

you get to graduate

and go on with your life,

whether it's college,

work,

military,

or nothing at all.

It may be good at first

but then reality sets in.

Signing up for college

and scholarships.

Senior dues and

cap and gown fees.

Getting all of your class credits

so you can graduate.

Trying to be top of your class,

to cramming for ACT.

Researching colleges,

signing up early.

Taking a day to visit,

and trying to get in.

Needing to do test

not just for class

but getting into the college of your dreams.

Making family proud

or just not caring about their opinions.

Being the first to graduate,

go to college,

being the last, middle,

or not doing any at all.

Writing essays,

doing projects,

even doing extra credit

all just to graduate on time.

Your senior year is not everything you expect

it is more stressful then you would think.

It's good to be prepared before you go

if not then do everything you need,

but most importantly

plan ahead.
