Senior Year
Small and distant but yet still there
A flame burns as we all stare
Shadows leap, darkness dances
But through it all we remain in our stances
Waves' wrath in wicked water
Dark deeds doth we barter
Slipping, sliding down the drain
Don't lose anyone to the rain
Heart's a puzzle
Mouth a muzzle
Brain a structure
Same as the others
What has become of us?
Are two optimists enough?
Breaking, cracking, fissures in the ground
Crying but hearing no sound
The passion gone
The will power no longer strong
But the flame still burns
Hope still confirmed
Through all the black and blue
All we really need it light and glue
Together we will fly
Together we will make it out alive
