Senior Year

Summer.

Finally, not the underdog.

Finally, not a freshman.

Applications, they say. Do them. Look for scholarships, they say. Do them.

I did. I worked. I learned. I forgot.

Soon, the year went by and the moment came. College.

Moving in. Weird. Buying items, weirder.

Being away from home, preposterous.

What is this madness?

What, I can't call my mom for a question?

I can't go home every day?

I can't...

Summer.

Finally, not a freshman.
