Senor Rap

All the bells of the classroom blasting

3 years pass, I relax, I’m lasting

Mental mass packed to the max, I’m laughing

At the flashbacks of the past elapsing

The hallway where I’m walking by

To my math class at the speed of pi

English, Shakespeare and Athens

At the regents where the testing happens

It’s crazy how I feel so lazy

Skipped my last class

Now it starts to get hazy

 I…

Can’t stop this pursuit of knowledge

Work day and night on the path to college

With the tools of success to be my best

My teachers taught me well now I gotta do the rest so

Hit the books, I read and write

I Spit the lit so check the mic

Cuz senoritis I do not buy this

Golden like it came from Midus

And why this, think you got to sit and try this

Like Fidus pass me up a drink St.Idus

No more, done, the rap it through

Hard work pays in time it’s true

So be the best in all you do

And never stop being you…

I am a slam poet fanatic, and a lot of my work deals with things we appreciate in our youth, issues we deal with, and just to celebrate parts of life. All of my poems though end off with some kind of moral to come away with
