Sensation

Slowly, softly, sweetly, I open my eyes,

The sweet rays of the morning's sun, shine on me.

As soon as they hit my face, I feel a warm sensation.

I lay there, not wanting to stir.

Oh how lovely this day shall be,

The sun shines brightly to prove my theory.

As I lie there, I listen to all the sounds of

The world opening its eyes to a new day as well.

I think of how wonderful it would be to just lie there and never get up.

Then I realize why this sensation is new to me,

And why I don't remember the sun's rays waking me up...

I'm Late for school!
