Sensation and Perception

How can it be that you, you see a bee,

A vicious, horned, malicious bee,

But I see passion - possibility?

You see a bee, and I see me.

How can a bee be beautiful

In my eyes, but in yours: nothing?

How can I see the sea as He,

But you see shades of blue and green?

How is there no aquality

Between the things we see?

How strange it'd be to be a bee,

An innocent, bright bumblebee,

When only some can feel the trees

And taste the beauty in your sting.

How strange it is to see the sea

And see a sea of bumblebees:

Adam and Eve,

And You and Me,

And seven billion buzzing bees -

But only one can breathe.
