In The Sense...
Love is a theoretical timepiece
Undefined and unrefined
Theoretical in the sense that it is
the key to this mind of mine,
The under when there is
no over available to climb,
While simultaneously being the very thing to drag you under
due to a heart being in overdrive,
A timepiece in the sense that it
will outlive the human race,
Even though some will waste them both
their care and their days,
Over the very people who
grab them by the waist,
And whisper sweet nothings that leave
an irresistibly desirable taste
Love is the most valuable poison
Running at the cost of life
Valuable in the sense that
it gives me reason,
My body in sync with yours
committing treason,
To the independence I once thought I had simply because
your warm embrace is what gets me through the cold season,
This chill down my spine makes me
anticipate the warmth of your being,
Poison in the sense that the future
suffocates me,
Thoughts of us as a whole so tempting,
But thoughts of we differentiating to me I'm resisting,
But it's the feeling of not being able to breathe
that keeps me coming back,
In this sense of mine,
You are my night that completes my day,
You are the emotional turmoil that makes me grow
as a woman in every possible way,
I live in hopes that I'll die by your side,
I'd give you my last breath
the least I could do for my gift from God,
He said be fruitful and multiply
so my love for you is idivisible,
The family we'll build irresistable,
You are everything and more
my body your temple,
Be mine for the rest of our days
the love we share has no reciprocal,
Though at times it will be difficult,
Because I love you
The only thing left for me to do,
Is to ride out this wave until the moon dies,
That's how deep this love lies
