Sense of Humor

You know what I want to hear?

A rape joke

I want to hear you joke about a traumatic experience

I want to hear you joke about my traumatic experience

And when I don't laugh

I want to hear you say I don't have a sense of humor

I used to have a sense of humor

It was ripped away from me

A rape joke isn't just a joke

It's a trigger

It's a trigger to when he held me down

to when he covered my mouth

to when he stole my sense of humor

I'm sorry if my words make you uncomfortable

I was uncomfortable too
