Sense of love
The smell of your cologne,
Makes me weak on my knees,
Why does he try to make me feel at ease
I look at you,
Fear, abuse, black and blue,
Why am I in love with you
I feel a sense running through my body,
Weakness, depression, laziness
Why do I give into your greediness
The bitter taste you leave in my mouth,
Whore, slut, bitch,
Why can you speak to me like this
The sound of my phone ringing,
Makes me shake and queasy,
Leaving you will not be easy
I smell a nice ocean breeze,
Being surrounded by my friends,
I know where I’m suppose to be
I look at myself,
Glowing, strong, independent
I know this is who I’m suppose to be
The feeling of love,
May have scarred me in the past,
But it’s here to shape my future
The sweet taste of freedom,
No more abuse, fear, or weakness,
The feeling of abandonment has left
The sound of laughter,
What a great sound to hear,
Finally coming out of my body
