Senseless Sensibilities


Air escapes from each inlet As the deadliest battle strikes In shallow trenches perched On a hill of limestone and silt Red dew drops dot the sand As armoured bodies fell Deaf mute and lifeless Their earthly spirits glide Eyes clear and wide Each inlet opens up To the vantage point of light Of angst and scars Beneath unfamiliar kaleidoscope Of senseless sensibilities In battlefields alike
