Senseless War

Why do we fight against the burning flames

While we're well aware of the consequence and cost

Why do we play these mind games

It doesn't make any sense when we've already lost

Why do you drown me in a pool of my own sorrow

Is this truly what we have become

Our hearts have turned so hollow

Our demons have won

Tear me down why don't you

Take every part of me

Since I'm only here to entertain you

You have stolen more from me

Then what you can see

Continue to build yourself up

Until there's nothing left of me

Because you know that in the end

I'll claim my victory

I have become numb to the pain

Not even the lightening can strike my nerves

I may fall along with the rain

But when I hit the ground it won't hurt

I won't expose my vulnerability

I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine

In reality

Pretending is a new talent of mine

Tear me down why don't you

Take every part of me

Since I'm only here to entertain you

You have stolen more from me

Then what you can see

Continue to build yourself up

Until there's nothing left of me

Because you know that in the end

I'll claim my victory

Why must we fight wars

In order to obtain peace

Why must we gain scars

To become free

Did your deomans burn away purity

Did your demons murder the spirit inside

Did it expose your insecurity

Making you feel alone

With no place to hide.
