Sensing People

Heavy breathing

I feel the beating in my chest

Clothes rustling together

I hear the blood rushing in my ears

Citrus

The scent of my shampoo lingers on my skin

Must

The scent of his cologne overpowers my shampoo

Houses upside down

The frame of the car door blocks the lawn

Pitch black

I close my eyes

Chills

His hands run across my body

Moist

His tongue glides on my neck

Peppermint

The taste of my toothpaste tainted by his tongue

Orange juice

His breakfast overpowered my toothpaste

I am afraid

This is the moment I become a statistic

Panic sets

I freeze and can’t stop him

I am ashamed

I should have done more

My blood boils with anger

He acts like it’s okay

Pain

My heart feels heavy in my chest

Pain

Maybe it's because his body is crushing mine

Realization

This is the moment I lost hope in people
