Sensory Overload

Sensory overload sucks
Quiet to noisy
Dark to bright
Only a few to a crowd of people
Thousands of smells permeating the air

My body can't handle the commotion
Tears fill my eyes
And I fight to keep them in
         Nonetheless they fall
I start to shake
from my hands to the rest of my body
And I beg that it will all stop
My head hurts
     Everything is pounding
And some overeager youngster is taking a sledgehammer to my brain

God... I wish it would all

                 STOP
