Separation

Separation;

A manifestation of death.

 Prowling around day and night,

it watches my every move.

Finding the few things I give my heart to,

it rips them from my life.

It feeds off the fallen pieces of my heart,

and drinks the tears that I shed as I lie alone.

Finding that it cannot live without my sorrow,

It ceaselessly watches for any speck of joy to devour.
