Seperated

Separated JRAO (Jonathan Robert Austin O’Quinn) 2012 I got Jesus Christ inside of me; the sin in me has been set free I’m living like I ought to be; I’m living life eternally And now it’s really clear to see; the glory of his majesty Now listen to his story, take it in, its plain to see. He descended from the heavens just to dwell on earth below He performed a lot of miracles, his power really shows When he resurrected man from death and you already know That his power is amazing; so let’s give him full control. Let’s take a look at what he did when he got hung up on a tree Perfect sacrifice his blood was shed, he bled for you and me He did it all so we could be with him for all eternity But wait, what did we receive, here’s the answer, it’s the key Were separated from our sin; no you don’t see any sin in me I’m moving up I’m moving on; ill stand against the enemy I’ve got a new identity, and we'll call it the Trinity Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, they are alive inside in me. I’m in an all new war zone; I’m fighting evil off and on My general sits on a throne; and with him I can do no wrong So Satan, send your devils, send your demons, ima beat them, your temptations, ima treat them like my sin, separations! Now that I’m separated I don’t do the things I used to do. The old in me has passed away; behold in me another dude I was lost until I got into his Word, the only truth Now I’m reading daily and I’m urging you to do it too! Listen up cause I’ve got something to say, Christ has been Working in me in a lot of different ways, he’s Gave me a new life Gave me a fresh start and raised up my soul from the depths of my darkness But out of all of this; I believe the greatest thing, Is that he's given me a chance with the King of kings And not to make a scene; but I gotta admit some things My life is more than just a story of a sinners needs So I refuse to stumble; and I refuse to fall I’m standing straight and tall just waiting for my saviors call And when he says arise and takes me up into the sky I’ll separated telling the world goodbye.

After reading your other poem, I gotta say that I was really looking forward to reading more of them and now? After this one? I see you have no more posted and I truly hope you're still writing.

I've had my battles with religion and sin and "The King of Kings"... I generally don't care for religious poems, but the way you put this one was very delicately done. I definitely enjoyed this poem and found myself smiling at the word "dude" in it. It isn't a word I would expect to come accross in a poem with a topic such as this :P

I hope you're still following in His path and doing well!

Keep writing!

Serena
