September Remembers Us

September will remember,

its leaves.

September will not remember,

our hugs.

September will remember,

its sweet scents.

September will never remember,

our endless compliments.

September will remember,

its warm yellow and red glows.

September will hardly remember,

our final hello's.

September will barely remember,

Thanksgiving and Christmas alone.

Never thinking about New Years Night,

and no one to hold tight.
