Serendipity

Love heeds the toxic mind of broken dreams

Trailing kisses along the stem of wounds,

She is with you no matter the extremes

Of your own impediment you've consumed.

Darkness clouds your judgement; hindering sight

It may lead you to your impending doom,

But She is there to guide your eyes at night

Allowing you inhibitions to bloom.

Rosy lips spout forth sweet validity

As cold fingers quickly reach to grab it,

Finally dismissing timidity

Their souls are warmed; their doubts are counterfeit.

Friendly eyes and kind smiles offer comfort;

Those who I trust with my heart will come first.
