Serenity
Lying out under the stars shining bright,
I whispered a sweet melody.
It was a dark, warm summers night
And all who remained was my love, and me.
The night was smooth, but a summer breeze.
He mumbled "I love you" after that verse
And in that blanket, he slept with ease.
We would no longer converse.
I stared at his face, so calm.
And smiled to myself gently.
He was a treasure in my palm.
I couldn't think of my life differently.
I layed there with my true best friend.
We'd be together until the end.
