Servanthood
Servanthood
I promised to be a servant of the people,
Not to live in a castle
I plan to keep my promise to others
To always protect my fellow brothers
Seeing people risk their lives for citizens,
Is proof that faith in humanity always wins
I’m inspired by first responders
And that inspiration keeps me on my path to be a police officer and I will never wander
We only get one life
I would rather choose to live it as a servant of the people than cause strife
First responders inspire me to connect with other people who hurt
And not only encourage them but be willing to give them off my back, my shirt
I’m inspired by them to do everything I can
And not let the helping and saving lives to just a man
I am inspired to do my part
And to beat those numbers of helping, way off the charts
