To Serve My Country

Of what do I dream?

From what would satisfaction I most glean?

I have one true desire

To serve my nation with patriotic fire.

For the land that offered me liberty

Deserves now a return from me.

And to this aim I aspire

In civil service rests my desire.

So at the close of my career

I will have positively changed the land I revere.
