To Serve or Not To Serve

To serve or not to serve- that is the question. Whether ‘tis nobler in the mind to suffer Through endless play and possible loss Or to fault and have to restart. Such a worthy opponent could decide this fate- To be truthful and play it out, To enjoy the game and maybe Even the riches of success. Or lie and be confined to laziness, To suffer point after point At the hands of the unworthy. All of this lays on the shoulders Of one person, While an even bigger decision Lays upon another. To start something that could last For hours or be over so quickly- Just by hitting a ball. To hit many in practice And it comes down to this- Control of the game and much more. Forever this question will haunt players alike When they lose the toss. To look across the net and See who will bear the choice While they choose To serve or not to serve
