Sestina
I love to bake
I learned from my Mom
Baking is something we both love
Searching the internet for a new recipe
Setting aside baking time
New recipes are a chance to learn
There is so much to learn
There is no one way to bake
Or a perfect time
I have a different strategy than my mom
I have preferences in recipe
Ones that I love
It’s sharing with others that I love
I like taking the time to learn
And find a friend’s favorite recipe
Showing I care through what I bake
A go to gift for my mom
It means a lot when you take the time
I wish I could bake all the time
It’s something I really love
A love that I share with my mom
And holds experiences to learn
And also helpful, being able to bake
Being able to find a good recipe
It’s fun to look for a great recipe
One that doesn’t take a lot of time
And is easy to bake
A recipe that I will come to love
One that I can perfect as I learn
And share with my mom
The treat is decorated by my mom
After I bake the recipe
I don’t like decorating but I will learn
A way that doesn’t take a lot of time
Decorating is the only part I don’t love
I only really like to bake
You don’t have to be an expert to bake
You only need to have a love
And you will get better with time
