Set Me Free

Letting go of the ones I held close Only to spend time with you trouble. Choosing the dangerous path over the sheltered Wishing for an adventure in my ordinary life Time passed Others were forgotten You were never an other Regret. those who cared Nights spent crying on their pillows What did they ever do to me? They didn’t deserve this calamity A stranger seen from afar One whom used to be called amicus. Now barely known Times forgotten Joyous times replaced with sorrow and remorse No shoulder to cry on No arms bearing hugs Its what I deserved For I chose the dangerous path over the sheltered Wishing for an adventure in my now remembered spectacular life.
