Set (or the jealous friend)

Set, friend, why so jealous?

I did not resent you.

Tell me why you push me away.

You nurse your wounds, swollen with anger

until schemes hatch- a gift, for those who would dare

to snicker in your direction,

Or mention you in passing,

Or whose own happiness illuminates some flaw of your own.

Fine, nock the arrow and light it with your sulfurous envy.

The world will be your foe, and you'll burn yourself more than your target.

See if I care.

Seems like you'll eat your own tail before you ever swallow your pride.
