Settled

1 Corinthians 13:12

12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face.

Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

My mind has settled down ... it sunk into the sand.

It cannot move right or left ... just looking up is there.

I still think it is flexible ... as on my own I “sank”

as I will lead friend or foe ... into “my” anywhere.

Not realizing the depth ... as only dreams are left.

Imagination runs its course for I am anchored in the sand.

Illusions become fact ... as I wind up close to bereft

drowning in expectations through never developed plans.

“Sad to say”, you mention ... a life without a course.

A path not at all designed ... by me or fellowmen.

Maybe there is an answer ... that knocks on heart’s door

to wake us up like a flower to bloom ... in a lifetime spanned.
