Seven
Laying in bed
staring at the ceiling
7:00 am
two hours before school starts
so she waits....
white walls with birds chirping at her window sun warm on her face
she hears he door, her parents are asleep
she doesn't answer she just peeks
the noise gets louder
so she peeks again with her child like curiosity
The door fly's open
FREEZE!
she stands there paralyzed
She's only SEVEN
A gun pointed straight at her innocents
It's just a child
lowering their cold steel toys they lead her to the kitchen, where she sits
and watches helplessly as everything she loves is taken from her
She's only SEVEN
Sitting in the heart of her home she cries
her life is changed
never to be the same again
on the outside she doesn't cry
but inside is a nuclear war that travels to her heart blowing it up to pieces
tears of blood trickle staining her
pain tattooed on her face
She's only SEVEN
