Seven Again
Seven Again
I am broken, like fleeting unsure
Non-living but my body refuses to go cold.
I lay there, I am seven again. My hands go up to cover my ears.
I hum to drown out my thoughts, before they devour me whole.
But somehow I still seem to relive them.
I am seven once again
I barely can process what is going on.
I can still taste the childhood on my tongue.
you were afforded the right to be God with others bodies.
Allowing yourself to grow big while others are made
small.
I am seven again
Learning how to sin before I ever knew God forgave.
I’m not sure if I am breathing or choking.
Living or dying
this time I am not sure if I can be silent.
If I can keep secrets,
Allowing you to write yourself all over my body
I am not sure if I can be
seven again.
