Seven No Trump Bid II

Seven No Trump Bid II

Trump gropes his brain, reduces thought to a tweet.

He fingers short words into a twitter,

Then presses his attack with a bitter

Fragment: insanity made of raw meat

For a mob marching for the mad defeat

Of the Founders’ paragraphs. We fritter

Away critical thought for the sitter

Whose appetite needs seasoned rage to eat.

A presidential apprentice for real

Puts in a day’s work to trump his ego

Across the T.V. airways blown by hate

And unfinished reason that fails to deal

With actual truth.  We gulp what we know

And swallow crumbs from our factual state.
