A seven year old's escape
When my world came crashing down
What was I to do
Law, culture, and age kept me bound
Ha, and my world turned to poo
I had emotions I thought were beyond compare
But at the age of seven, how much could I dare
Everywhere I turned, my new life had rules
And with no outlet, anger pools
A new person in mom's life
Her love was no longer just mine
A strict grandmother added to my strife
I knew my "times' tables" way past nine
According to my friends my life had become tragic
But then on tv we found a solution: magic
A knack for rhymes and bodies full of emotion
We created a spellbook and our every concoction was a potion
When my world came crashing down
I found something to do
I cast a spell to take away my frown
Maybe words'll work magic for you, too!
