a 3 song cycle,

boy bands,

a summer obsession

vs.

homemade mixtapes,

collections of songs,

one tune for each unique memory,

one lyric for every type of weather.

continuous shopping,

mall perrusing,

store browsing

vs.

strolling by the dam,

people watching.

and so I have fewer ouftfits,

fewer admirers,

fewer friends.

but there is something to be said for individuality,

something beautiful,

something desirable

about the freedom to stray,

the freedom to explore without hesitation.
