S.H.
As I look at the morning sun, I can only ponder
What will the day be filled with, changes? Similarities?
What makes this day significant or what will I do to make this day significant?
Walking into the light, how am I going be the difference?
Standing looking now at the clouds as I feel the wind's breeze
Thinking who else feels thoughts, who else sees a blank
Watching as spring brings life and allergies to the many
And seeing how nature comes to all to those that seek
Soon I can only see how marriage is in the air, and summer hits like light
Hotter then what it usually it seems, Can anyone still see farther?
Farther than the line in the white space, farther than me?
As my pages are written, I wonder who joins them.
Heat and air seem to become one element as they tend both to hurt and heal
June and July brothers satisfied with being hot, sometimes smothering
How can anyone stand as they witness a vision of what has already past
Living a future from the past eyes of another from the same place at different times
As the browning of the leaves arises and I see a change of clothing
People live life upon pleasure and never any discomfort or pain
As I wonder what heroes are made of, and there sacrifices
And villains are misunderstood heroes, found in the many
Yet as the climate decreases I see the value of people decrease
More and more everyone always worries for them self
Pity in the tears of my eyes, as I see a nation slowly turning away from God
And finally a view of the past lingers in my mind
Fighting for something much more, created for so much more
Snow falling in my walk home, dripping like free souls
Winter in my breath and my body embracing the cold
As longer nights seem to enter every home and every church
History seen from the times of all, including the seasons
The climate reflecting, all the pain and sorrow from lives long ago
People who impacted the many, their pages completed upon their death
As history repeats itself, we fail to value and we fail to comprehend sacrifice
