Shades

Deserts trick one by sunshine all the time.
For all frozen beings,
deserts promise warmth.
Head in the direction when you wish to know,
what extremity feels like.
The one who resides in it,
hopes for oasis.

Plains are more like grey,
comfortable and with variety of shades.
They have butterflies and wasps.
Often one in skin of the other.

Yet we dream of mountains.
Cold.
White.
And lonely.
Hearing our own echoes,
while searching for answers.
What is that which asks us to climb up?
What is that which asks us to look down?

Yet we dream of oceans.
Mysterious.
Powerful.
And vast.
Washing our marks,
no matter who we are and what we do.
What do you call the urge taking over while staring at horizon,
to be lost?

May be humans have this instinct to risk all that we have for moments of bliss.
May be that's why we dream of mountains and oceans.
We give them power to kill us,
by falling or drowning.
As for sometime,
even if it is for seconds,
we will be in no chain.

May be that's why we love...
