Shades of Black, Brown, and Blue

The color of skin I posses doesn't allow me to hide

From any shadow or shield

My world will always have complications

Due to my refusual to yield

There are many in the fight

For I am not alone

Defending their right

Just to make it home

Why does fear have a presence in this world

Of being different in any shape, form, or fashion

Beauty blossoms in diversity

Showcasing a variety of passion

An army is eqipped to handle any measure

Threats from friend or for

How wonderful would it be

To end the cycle of hatred and make room for love
