Shadow

It leers in the unknown Concealed with traps Arose when I was born Consistencies it lacks It is the shadow I wish I didn't know I don't use it often But when it has brew Rare as autumn It shows what I knew It consumes me wholly Losing myself uncontrollably Destroying things completely Not giving a second thought Untill my identity is lost woefully Unaware of the issues it brought It follows me wherever I go While it's enthusiasm grows When my guard was down It's problems entered sneakily It's true purpose is profound But it shows it's threats deceitfully
