Shadow

Hello

is anyone there

can you hear me

screaming at the top of my lungs

gasping for air

every second feels as if

I'm taking my last breath

where am I

what is this place

why am I here.

... I see a shadow of a person

in the corner of the room

it creeps towards me

ever so slowly

I can hear the squeaking of their shoes

as they move forward

I can't find the door

or a way out

the light is too dim to see

and as the figure

moves closer and closer

I realize

that the figure...

is me...
