Shadow Children

[[{"type":"media","view_mode":"media_large","fid":"28867","attributes":{"alt":"","class":"media-image","height":"320","typeof":"foaf:Image","width":"480"}}]]

we are the shadow children.

only hazy images of what we used to be.

imperfect

stretched

faceless

boring

there was a time when all we wanted

was to be perfect

skinny

smart

beautiful

talented

we worked ourselves till there was

nothing left but shadows.

disgraced

ignored

pathetic

disappointments.

sometimes we talk about life

before our monsters destroyed us.

laughter

color

A-B-C

elemenopee

no one wants us anymore

we're kind of the town freaks

spectacles

jesters

avoided

hated

that's why we shadow children stick together.

no one else will have us
