The Shadow of a Ghost of a Memory

Red puppet strings

Tugging at her heart

She’s flotsam and lost things

Drifting further and further apart

She listens to the voices of her past

Ringing loud and clear

She knows she won’t last

They’re all she can hear

She is totally blind

To those who offer her aid

Out of sight, out of mind

Her soul slowly fades
