A shadow of herself

I think I’ve lost faith in her

The person I used to adore,

Used to look up to

Used to be proud of.

The person I used to believe in,

She used to be so strong

But now all I do is help her

She asks me to be patient and support her

She asks me to understand

And says she will try to change

Try to be stronger

But now that person I used to believe in is gone

She won’t help herself

Or believe things will get better

So I’m stuck in this place

Whishing I could help her

Whishing I could believe in her

Knowing I can’t

Until the person I used to believe in believes in herself.
