In the Shadow of the Light

A fork parting the road,

Forever veiled in mist.

Offered two roses, of ravens

Of angels.

For which to reign in light,

Or shadow.

Marched through heart,

To seize both kingdoms.

Two times, two skies,

An eye of riches,

the other of deep.

One more brightly burning than

The ego of humankind.

The other pale as ash,

Luminous, in the cloak of the night.

Often do I desire,

For both kingdoms to unite.

To show both eyes,

In the dying of the light.

" Over in the years of yonder" thought I

Only a sprouting blosom.

'Tis now that two is one,

That rapture shadows light.
