Shadow of Mankind

Won't make this road my walk

And these words are not my talk

This life I've led's not mine

Just a shadow of mankind

What we've seen and who we are

Has disappointed us this far

Can't reach the stars, can't own the sky

When you're a shadow of mankind

But I can stand and have my say

All have lived and died away

when we begin to fight or fade

That's when we die and make our name

Fight your fate and I'll fight mine

or drown the sea, I'll turn back time

And if our name's forgotten in the depths of time

Know that none can see the shadows of mankind
