That Shadow of Mine

To be heard or to hear Is our choice in this life? Ears tingle for news Eyes deceived, too bright Heart throbbing for truth Mind numbed, so tight Cling to whom or what Protect my life or right Stand on knees or kneel on my feet O’ shall keep silent like shadows of mine Saying or doing nothing, just follow Staying out of site Knowledge, incarceration, then history is written Hiding, numb as my mind I stay fixed Consulting my shadow to take me to the light But then I forget, that too has been hiding
