shadowed spaces, dazzling places

I have worlds contained within me

that hum as I step between them

that sigh as I step through

shadowed spaces. and dazzling places.

a hallway beyond the veil

a dark room left wanting

following footsteps of familiars 

to these strange, eerie stations

then the breaking of ethereal light

that step in stride beside me

silent song of sweet delight

safety marched ever alongside me

a meadow of brightest color

the platform past purple mountains

painted in another’s mind, held before eternal endless eyes

I have eternity laid up within me
