The shadows

The darkness hovered over my bed

Couldn't see couldn’t hear couldn’t feel

I lay motionless in my covers

Heat smothered me just like death

I could see him

Standing in the corner of my room

I was wondering why he wouldn’t take me

Oh I loved the thought of him dearly

He ignored me so

Oh how I wish he would take me

Oh the adventure

The endless night

It wouldn’t be filled with havoc

I would be alone

Oh the peace the lovely lovely peace

It would be my depths of sorrow mine all mine

Of course he would be there

If only he would notice me

Am I too desperate

Is this too much to ask for

He is bringing me sorrow

Yet I love the sorrow

But I wish I was smothered in it

Blood

The blood was trickling down my face

I wish I had beauty

Life calls for it

I love death though

Maybe I don’t need beauty

Beauty is pain

Oh how much I love pain

Out I go

An adventure in the rain

Rain, Rain is beauty

Stranded wet and cold

I must keep going

Why is he leaving

He is speeding up

I don’t want him to see me

I want him to acknowledge me

He slips away

There

I found him

Deep

 in the

Shadows

I'm a young poet and Emily Dickinson inspires me. I also like the show about her.
