From the Shadows

It grew from a place which some would call the depths of hell,
To the greatest enemy, no he would not prevail,
No light shines upon he,
Only darkness and dwell,

Like the rose that grew from concrete,
And the light that's in dark,
He will rise from this feat,
Step by step, or yard by yard.

He knows he will make it one day,
He knows he will come out of the shadow,
But that day is yet to come,
So Lord, look upon your creation and see what is to be done.
